Too much 'telling' and not enough 'showing' probably sums up this story which is not so much a story as an outline for a story in my view. The concept is good enough and I certainly don't discount the possibility of extra-terrestrial 'culture moulders', but the ending is just too much 'deus ex machina', twist in the tail though it might be.

I think this author has an interesting and thought-provoking concept. I enjoyed his tale which is full of interesting and thoughtful points and especially liked the unusual twist at the end! I do believe that life is abundant throughout Creation - probably a lot more intelligent and enlightened than on this planet! Tony Perrott obviously has good imagination and is a natural storyteller. I am a published author and know how difficult it is to get one's books published. However, I think if he developed his story and characters, and slowed the pace a little, he could achieve that, if that is what he wishes to do. In the meantime, thanks for the good read!

Certainly a thought-provoking story and was quite surprised by the unexpected twist at the end. There was a lot going on, which might have been better to have thinned out a bit as I had to re-read parts in order to make sure I had got the points, but having said that, still an enjoyable read and a fascinating journey at that.

Though a fairly interesting concept the perspective seemed quite removed. Stylistically I think the prose leaves a fair amount to be desired - it felt bloated in places to me and the content of the story suffers for that, especially with so few words, which means your character work and worldbuilding is at times non existent and at times obtrusive, but that may just be symptomatic of the format.
